Zhuhai Bibo Chemical Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by BP (Bangkok) and Zhuhai Fukong Group Co., Ltd. under the Zhuhai Fuhua Group Co., Ltd. in 1997. By then, the annual production of PTA in Zhuhai will reach 1.5 million tons, and the annual output value will exceed 10 billion yuan. The annual taxes will exceed 1.2 billion yuan. The first phase of the PTA project put into operation in 2003 reached 1.43 million tons at the end of last year, and the industrial output value was 11 billion yuan. The accumulated taxes (including import tariffs and import value-added tax) totaled 1.5 billion yuan. Zhuhai Bibo has BP's advanced proprietary technology and high standards of safety and environmental protection standards.
