ARCHROMA launches new "Super UV Protectant" innovative product

Archroma (Ang high) as the global leader in color and specialty chemicals for sustainable solutions, launched its latest "super UV protection agents" a new product --Fadex®AS New. The product will make textiles in the automotive and transportation sectors more resistant to the sun and will be on display at the International Textiles and Nonwovens Exhibition (Techtextil) on May 15th.

During the long-term use of cars and other transport vehicles, some automotive interiors such as seat covers, carpets or ceilings are exposed to ultraviolet light. Intense light and heat make the fabric fade, polyester fibers are aging, and automotive interiors look It is very old. Therefore, car manufacturers are demanding the development of high lightfast products.

In response to this challenge, Angkor developed Fadex® AS New, which provides automotive manufacturers with a new, advanced light-resistant protective agent for use in the Light Fast Car solution. It also includes Ango's high light fastness dye Dorospers® K & A and the alkalinizer Lyocol® ELD liq. In this scenario, manufacturers can achieve more “efficient” processes, including significant reductions in water and energy consumption, reduced CO2 emissions, reduced processing time, reduced fiber rewinding and fracture, and optimized processing at all stages.

Fadex® AS New also maintains the tear strength of polyester fibers, meeting the automotive industry VDA 278 test requirements and REACH regulations. At the same time, Fadex® AS New has low atomization and is suitable for continuous jet printing. It is especially recommended for hot melt dyeing of seat belts.

The unique combination of Fadex® AS New and Dorospers A & K dyes meets the high lightfastness requirements of automotive manufacturers, and can be combined with Angkor's water repellent, detergent, antibacterial, flame retardant and high wear resistant functional finishing solutions. The combination is used to provide a complete finishing range to help textile manufacturers stand out in the highly competitive automotive market.
